First Congregational Church of River Edge

Welcome to First Congregational Church of River Edge, a vibrant and welcoming faith community that is part of the United Church of Christ. Our church is made up of people from all different backgrounds, and our worship services reflect this diversity with a wide range of music and liturgy from various traditions. In addition to our strong Christian Education program and vibrant music program, which includes vocal and handbell choirs, we also offer sermons that connect our modern lives with the timeless wisdom of the Bible.

But our commitment to faith doesn't stop at the doors of the church. Our members are actively involved in ministering to the community through initiatives such as sheltering the homeless, stocking food pantries, and providing programs for developmentally challenged adults. We also support many non-profit organizations and share our building with a range of groups, including Girl Scout troops, 12-step programs, a Japanese language and culture school, a community nursery and kindergarten enrichment program, a bagpipe band, and a children's theater program. Additionally, we are home to the Well Church and its lead pastor, Jay Lee.
