River Edge Youth Programs are designed to promote healthy lifestyles, develop character, and enrich the lives of participants.

Asphalt Avengers Floor Hockey
The Asphalt Avengers hockey clinics offer an introduction to hockey at the Veterans Memorial Park hockey rink.
Clinics are run in conjunction with the River Dell High School hockey team and focus on fundamentals and fun. Clinics are free.
Tennis Lessons
The River Edge Recreation Commission runs children’s tennis lessons at Veteran’s Memorial Park in conjunction with All pro Tennis Staff. Lessons are grouped by age and instruction is for beginner to advanced.
River Edge Run
The River Edge Run is held yearly in mid April.
It features a fun run for younger children that goes down Bogert Rd starting at Cherry Hill.
The highlight is the 5 km run through the streets of River Edge.
Over the past 40 plus years it has been a highlight of the Spring season welcoming runners from River Edge and surrounding towns.
US Sports Institute
The US Sports Institute has been providing sports camps and year-round sports programs to communities for over 10 years, working with over 500 organizations in the USA. These organizations include Recreation Departments, YMCA’s, JCC’s, Girl Scouts, School Districts & a variety of other private organizations that require quality sports provision.
River Edge Recreation has partnered with US Sports Institute to offer a wide range of sports camps, classes and lessons for all ability levels and a range of ages spanning 2 to adult. From Parent and Me, to toddler, to preschool, to kids classes and right through to adult programming, we have your sports needs covered.
Programs typically run by season in the spring, summer, fall and winter. Camps, classes and lessons run year-round to ensure we always have sports options to meet your family’s needs.
