Adult Programs in River Edge

Adult Softball

River Edge Recreation runs both Men’s and Women’s Softball for borough residents.  Games are played at Kenneth B George Field adjacent to the River Edge Swim Club.

The Men’s program runs 2 separate seasons.  The Spring/Summer League runs April to August and the Summer/Fall Season runs from September to late October. 

The Women’s League plays June to August on Friday evenings and is open to both River Edge and Oradell residents.

Women’s Kickball

River edge recreation also runs a Women’s Kickball League.  game sare played o Friday nights at Keneth B George Field in Fall.  

S.C.O.R.E. (Senior Citizens of River Edge)

All River Edge residents 60 and older are invited to join your peers 2 days a week for activities and friendship.

The S.C.O.R.E. organization meets every Monday and Tuesday at the Temple Shalom from 10am to 2pm. Some of the activities and programs include weekly discussion groups with guest speakers covering health issues, fire safety in the home, finances and other important subjects. Group trips to Atlantic City, the Paper Mill Playhouse and other venues occur throughout the year.

The senior bus is available to all residents 60 and older for shopping, doctors appointments, and for pick-up and return trips from S.C.O.R.E.

S.C.O.R.E. has been an active organization for over 45 years and encourages all interested residents to stop by and meet with your friends and neighbors in this comfortable, welcoming environment.

Bus Trips

During the course of the year the River Edge Recreation Department runs bus trips to different events including baseball games, Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Sands casino, Hunterdon Hills Playhouse, Broadway plays and more.
