A message from the Cherry Hill Elementary School Principal...
Our goal at Cherry Hill is to begin the school year in way that reflects a typical school day. I am confident that your child will be success at Cherry Hill School. Health and safety is our priority. I encourage parents to speak to children about daily safety guidelines and protocols.
Character, respect, and tolerance are prominent pillars at our school. This year an important focus is to support our children in their social and emotional growth and the celebration of Diversity at Cherry Hill School. Teachers and administrators have been trained during professional development sessions in social and emotional programs and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. We are continuing to integrate the Responsive Classroom in Prekindergarten through grade six. This program combines teaching social and emotional strategies with academics in a fun, positive, classroom environment. Students will build a community with one another and make friends while establishing expectations and procedures.
We are proud that Cherry Hill School /New Bridge Center is a warm, caring school. Our diverse campus of Pre-K to 6th grade students represent a loving community of families and staff. We often celebrate the unique individuals and students' positive demeanor toward one another. Our staff and parents work together to offer our students a outstanding educational experience.
Children are involved in activities encompassing critical thinking, application of learned skills, and integrating experiences across the curriculum. Our environment fosters high academic standards and authentic learning opportunities. The New Jersey Student Learning Standards drive our curriculum and instruction. Our students are prepared to meet the rigorous demands for the 21st Century. Local and standard assessments measure student progress, allows for data analysis, and informs our instruction to meet students’ needs.
Cherry Hill programs include Art, Vocal and Instrumental Music, Media, Physical Education, Blended Technology, STEAM experiences, World Language, CREATE and many exciting performing arts activities.
