River Edge is conveniently located near many major interstate highways (Route 80, Garden State Parkway, New Jersey Turnpike, Route 287) making it very convenient to travel throughout the area as well as bordering states.  As many residents commute into Manhattan daily the likely routes would be as follows depending on your end destination.

River Edge to Lincoln Tunnel: For commuters working in lower Manhattan the Lincoln Tunnel may be a better option.  Basic directions are Route 4 West to Route 17 South to US 80 East to the NJ Turnpike to NJ 495.  495 connects to the Lincoln Tunnel and enters Manhattan at 39th St.

Mass Transit

We also have the opportunity to use mass transit in the form of buses and trains that make stops in the borough.  River Edge is home to 2 train stations serviced by the NJ Transit system, River Edge Station and New Bridge Landing.
